A blast from the past! The classic Fat Arse Wombat that we used to make under the Bear Surfboards label is now back on the menu. Anyone who had one of these boards in the past knows how versatile and easy to ride they are.

Whether it’s onshore slop or grinding reef barrels, the Wombat will have you leaving the water feeling stoked. Perfect for someone looking to get back on  shorter board after riding a mal, or someone looking for a great alternative to a keel fin fish. The Fat Arse Wombat is the board that makes high tide fun.

Simple bottom contours and a relatively flat rocker turn this board into an absolute rocket once up and riding. Now paired with an exclusive quad setup to really harness an intuitive agility coupled with aforementioned speed, we have found the quad can be pushed as hard as you like and will push right back and never skip out. If you’re looking for a board that will disappear under your feet and have you surfing with more enjoyment, then this is definitely the board for you.

Available either as the standard 2 + 1 setup it was originally designed with, paired with our 9″ Flex Fin and side bites.
Or available as a quad setup to be paired with your favourite quad set.
